Mark Weekend in Llandudno 2014

The Garston and Liverpool Mark Masons organised yet another successful weekend-away which took place from Friday 21st of February to Sunday 23rd. at the Baytree Hotel in Llandudno. The event comprised a lively Quiz Night on Friday evening and on Saturday evening the guests were entertained to a concert party provided by the “Choppers and Chislers Working Men's Social Club, affiliated.” All the “turns” were sourced from among our own membership. There is so much hidden talent amongst us as the show proved. According to established custom, Saturday is also Fancy dress evening, this year the theme was Heros throughout the ages. There were three winners:- Shirley Gordon, Ray Gragg and Sandra Berkley. Well done to all three for their imaginative home made costumes.
The R.W. Provincial Grand Master, Bro Peter Connolly and his wife Lynne attended together with other senior members. The weather was as usual kind to us. Sunday was a little windy however. A good and happy week end was enjoyed by all. A charitable cause to benefit from the weekend has not been nominated yet but a donation of £ 1,500 is anticipated. Please look out for the announcement.
The hotel again sponsored a draw for a free week end for two and the winners were Andrew and Helen Cunningham-Chan. Llandudno has been the home of this venue for the last five years. It was resolved to hold next year's event at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Llanberis. The dates for the week end will be 13th. To 15th. Februaty 2015.
Below are some photographs of the Fancy Dress contestants as they entered the dining room, too many to name individually. You all know who you are, if you can recognise yourselves. So find yourselves and have a good laugh.

The organisers of the weekend W.Bros. Colin Svenson and Tommy McLaughlin are both to be thanked and congratulated on a job well done.
